Are you doing this with PLR content? If you’ve read much about PLR content, you already know most people advocate using it for two things:

1. To create Adsense sites with lots of content.

2. Submitting to article directories as a way of getting backlinks.

Trust me, there are many other great uses for PLR content. And unfortunately most people are missing out on these opportunities which is great for you because you have the inside track from me.

PLR content can be used anywhere in your business you need content. This includes:

- Adding content to your website to improve your search engine rankings.

- Creating blog posts quickly so you can post several every day.

- Having instant content for your newsletters and mini-courses.

- Creating giveaway products such as mini-courses and special reports you can use to build your mailing list.

- Developing your own products including ebooks, audios and even physical products.

- Creating materials your affiliates can use to promote your site.

The key to effectively using PLR content is to be creative. Don’t fall into the trap of believing all you can use it for is submitting to article directories and Adsense sites.

Although these techniques may work well for some people, there are much easier ways to get attention online. By doing your own thing you’ll stand out from the crowd!

Now that you have a better understanding of what PLR content is and how it can help you quickly and inexpensively get the content you need for your online business, let’s discuss how to find great PLR content.

There are several things to keep in mind before buying:

1. Make Sure You Trust the Source – Not all PLR content is created equal. Some people steal other people’s content and try to pass it off as their own. Make sure you are dealing with a site that you trust before buying content from them.

2. Look For Flexible Content – Think about what you will be using the PLR content for before purchasing. This will allow you to choose the content that will be the most usable for you. For example, if you want to create a series of special reports then an eBook would be a good choice because you can break it up.

3. Opt For Complete Solutions- There are a lot of sites that offer not only the PLR content itself but also related graphics and even sales letters. If you’re looking to create a product using the PLR this can save you lots of time and money.

Next time we’ll look at some uses for PLR content other than just submitting articles to directories and creating Adsense sites. Trust me, there is A LOT more you can do with good quality PLR!

What you need to know about using Private Label Content (PLR) has been a hot topic in online business over the last couple of years. As more opportunities emerge for people to make money with niche marketing, so has the demand for affordable content. PLR is the perfect solution! If you’re not familiar with how PLR works, it is essentially a way for multiple people to “share” content. Since they are given access to use or change the content, they pay significantly less. You can then use PLR as is and put your name on it as the author. Or you can divide it up, add to it, combine it with other content, create an audio product from it or newsletter, eBook, etc. – the sky’s the limit! The more creative you are, the more unique your resulting product will be. For online marketers, this can mean a savings of countless hours of work over writing all of their content themselves. Or thousands of dollars in outsourcing fees if they were to hire a professional writer. Before you get started using PLR to grow your business, there are a few things you need to keep in mind:

1. It’s important you trust the source of the PLR content – Not all PLR content is created equal. There are lots of people publishing inferior content no marketer in their right mind would use. Remember, once you put your name on the content, your potential customers think you wrote it. If it’s not well written, informative and interesting you’ll make a bad impression. Even if you’re just using the content on your website to improve search engine rankings, it has to be good quality because prospects will be reading it and judging you based on it.

2. The best use for PLR is not article site submissions – Submitting articles to article directories can be a great promotion strategy. In the early days of PLR this is primarily how people used the content. But the article directories have gotten smarter and realized multiple people are submitting the exact same articles. This makes the directory look bad – so they’ve changed their policies and no longer allow this.

3. Combining PLR is the easiest way to use it – If you use a piece of PLR content exactly as is, the odds are you’ll be competing directly with someone else who is offering the same product. However, if you add other pieces of PLR content then you can create something which is uniquely yours. You still don’t have to do any writing, yet you have a product with different information then your competitors are offering.

PLR content truly is a great way to get the content you need for your business. It’s affordable, easily accessible and flexible. Whether you need content for your blog or want to create a complete product line, PLR is the perfect choice!

Exactly what is PLR content? I have been hearing and reading about it all over the web. I didn’t actually understand precisely what it was until I performed a bit of research. First off, let me tell you PLR stands for Private Label Rights. Now this is different then Master Resell Rights which I will explain the difference in a separate post. It is very important you know the difference.

First let’s get started by taking a look exactly what Private Label Rights content is and what it’ not. PLR content means different things to different people. But overall, it refers to content that you are given rights to use by the original author. You can add your name as the author, change it, add to it, sell it and sometimes even give it away (be sure to always check the rights for any PLR content you’re thinking about using). What you can’t typically do with private label rights content is let someone else have PLR rights to it. In other words, you cannot give someone else the ability to use the content as their own. If you’ve never used PLR content before, you may be wondering what is so special about it. After all, you could write the content yourself and not pay anything. Or hire a ghostwriter and have exclusive access to the content. While both of these statements are true, it’s important to remember that everything in business is a trade off. Especially when your business is young.

For every hour you spend writing your own content, that is one less hour you are working on marketing your business. Too many online marketers spend almost all of their day writing and never work on driving traffic to their sites. Or they hire ghostwriters and go into debt to have content written. As a result they have nothing left to run paid ad campaigns and have to rely on only free methods, which often means a much slower growth rate for their business. PLR content gives online marketers the best of both worlds. Content they don’t have to write but is semi-exclusive. This allows them to quickly fill up their websites and blogs with great content or put together issues of their newsletter or even create new products and giveaways. Whatever content they need, they can get it quickly and inexpensively.
